1. "THE CONCEPT"
We suggest starting with "01 Dirty Dancing" passing the Quiz will guarantee your success in this course.
Understanding is more important than knowing, having knowledge is good, but being able to put it into practice is better.
We explain here and give you tips on how to use the provided course material. Please watch "THE CONCEPT EXPLAINED AND DANCED BY MUSICIANS" videos carefully.
2. Get Ready To Dance
Prepare everything before you start
- Download the "Metronome App" for IOS or Android.
- Print the Steps.pdfs in color
- Check the Step-Map for the step you are going to practice in the course material
- Setup your dance space
- Choose a beginner's Salsa Song from the Music playlist and play it in the background
- Setup the "Metronome App" to 40-60 BPM
- Start the dance lesson
3. Start The 1st Dance Lesson
Follow Maria (our dancer) - she is going to help you
It is crucial to mimic the movements shown by the dancer in the Video tutorial; e.g. looking on the floor to see which step you are going to do until you memorise them. It looks stiff at the beginning, but with time your steps and arm movements will get smaller and your arms will start moving in synchrony with your body (and the music).
